Surveying and interviewing nearly 700 stylists from around the world since 2017 they learned that a stylist will typically see between 4-16 clients each day, spending an average of 30-60 minutes per client, and adapting their angles up to 30 times during one styling session.

Although the Dyson Supersonic™ professional edition was loved by stylists, Dyson engineers were tasked to create the smallest hair dryer with powerful precision - which meant doubling down on the core technology within the original Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer, re-engineering a machine to deliver precision for professionals in an entirely new format, offering stylists two hair dryer options.
